It was such a pleasure to work with the Vicente family again for their latest mini session. I've had the opportunity to capture their family memories through three mini sessions so far, and each time has been an awesome experience.
This particular session was a bit of a challenge. Mom had to work on the day of the minis, so Dad came alone with his three young children, ages 1, 2, and 3, and a set of grandparents.
Despite the chaos that often comes with photographing young children, the Vicente family understands and embraces my documentary style of photography. They don't expect their little ones to pose perfectly and are open to capturing candid moments that truly reflect their family dynamic.
This meant that the session was filled with genuine laughter, playful interactions, and real-life moments that truly captured the essence of the family. The final images not only showcase the beauty of the family, but also their unique personalities and connection to one another.
During this session, the boys were not in the mood to stay together and look at the camera, but we all worked really hard to get them to participate. Despite their initial reluctance, the boys were able to work together in the end.
I have to say, the final images turned out beautifully, and mom was thrilled with them. She even upgraded to a full gallery so she could have access to all of the photos!
However, I couldn't shake the feeling that mom was missing from the photos, so I asked if they would be willing to come back for a quick 5-minute session before the other families the next time I had minis.
They were very appreciative of the offer and came back for a few more family images with mom included. It was a small gesture, but it meant a lot to the family and resulted in even more beautiful family memories.
The beautiful final images are a testament to the hard work and cooperation of everyone involved.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to document this era of their lives, and look forward to continuing to document the family's growth and milestones in the future. Thank you, Vicente family, for entrusting me with your memories!
