Who else didn't get in any Easter photos yesterday? Or get a family photo taken? Yeah, even the professional photographer can fail at this one... We did have sick kids, but still, how many of us moms are busy cooking and taking care of the details of the holidays (usually will get at least a couple Easter egg pictures taken with the kids), but if you look back at all these holidays, where is mom in the pictures?
And yes, sometimes as moms will fuss: "Oh, I look a mess.." or "Not now, I'm busy!", or even go delete an image where we might not look as flattering as we'd like. I get it - I'd love to lose a few (or twenty) pounds, and I'm due for a haircut and high lights, and I didn't wear a lick of makeup.
But who are we taking these pictures for? And how do they view us? I dare claim our husbands think we are gorgeous, and our kids love how loving and caring we are. In their eyes we are beautiful even at first morning breath! And our moms - wouldn't they treasure of picture of them with us and grandkids?
Don't put off taking pictures of yourself anymore, mom.
My vision for these short sessions are quiet, sweet sessions where I capture the love you give your family. Let me find the beautiful light and kind poses, and trust we'll get frame-worthy images for your family to have for years to come.
And while this is my vision, my ultimate goal is serve your family. I'm opening these sessions to be what Mom wants. A portrait of mom. Mom with family. Mom with children. Mom and Grandma. Grandma and grandchildren. You let me know! If 15 minutes is not enough, we can book a 45 minute, or a 1.5 hr session, too.
Let me know if you'd like the details on when and where we'll have Mother's Day mini sessions. I am thinking of a Fort Pierce location for this one, and it would probably start at 5:30 pm.
