Kristina's Vintage 1971 VW Beetle Mini Session in Vero Beach, FL

Usually around this time of year, I have my vintage truck mini sessions. Unfortunately, the owner sold that truck. Kristina came to the rescue with her 1971 vintage VW Beetle, and let me tell you— I might even like the results more!

Kristina is a talented hairdresser with a keen eye for style, so I’m not surprised that she has a vehicle this classy. I met her through a vintage truck session in Fellsmere, and she was all for recreating it with her Beetle!

The bright orange color contrasted beautifully with the gorgeous oaks of Pura Vida Flower Farm, and it was exactly what we needed to make this session special. Thanks a bunch, Kristina!

As with any family session involving young children, we knew flexibility was key. We had a toddler who was full of curiosity, which meant staying in one place for too long was not an option.

Rather than trying to force this little one to stand still, we embraced it, allowing the session to unfold at the kids’ pace.

This approach meant a lot of movement, but it also meant we captured the most authentic moments—joyful laughter, spontaneous exploration, and the pure, unfiltered wonder of childhood.

They sprinted around the Beetle, played tag, hung on to Dad’s arms, and everything else we could think of! Honestly, it was a blast through-and-through. Our smiles were glued into place!

The relaxed atmosphere of the session allowed Kristina and her family to simply enjoy their time together. Whether they were playing around the Beetle, exploring the flower fields, or sharing a quiet moment together, every interaction was genuine.

I’m so grateful to Kristina and her family for allowing me to capture these special moments, and I look forward to seeing how their story continues to unfold in future sessions.

Flower Mini Session in Vero Beach, FL with the Carkovic Family

I love working with return clients, especially when they’re as amazing as the Carkovic family. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of capturing their milestones, from family portraits to special occasions. This time, the focus was on mom and the kids, creating beautiful memories amidst the blooming fields of Pura Vida Flower Farm in Vero Beach, FL.

The day was perfect for a Flower Mini Session—sunny, with just a hint of a breeze to keep things comfortable. However, the brightness at the beginning of our session presented a bit of a challenge.

Harsh sunlight can be tricky, but it’s also an opportunity to get creative. To soften the light, we decided to move closer to the ground, using a Kristina's Vintage VW Beetle for shade. This car was just what we needed to add a bit of pizzazz!

This family did amazing, but Ace was a true pro. Having been in front of my lens multiple times, he knows exactly how to work the camera. He’s so confident now, and was excited to make the most of the session.

The younger children were absolutely captivated by the flowers. Their wide-eyed wonder and natural curiosity made for some sweet shots.

Whether they were gently touching the petals, giggling as they explored, or simply basking in the beauty of the surroundings, every moment was filled with joy.

One of my favorite aspects of this session was the connection between mom and her kids. As a mom myself, I know how hard it is to get in front of the camera since you’re so often the one behind it. This opportunity was so special for Mom.

The love and affection between them were undeniable, and it translated beautifully through the lens. Each hug, each laugh, each glance shared between them was a testament to the strong family bond they share.

I’m so grateful for the Carkovic family, and how they have supported me throughout the years. Working with them is always a joy, and this session was no exception. Every element came together to create a collection of photos that are as beautiful as they are meaningful.

I’m honored to have been part of this special moment in their lives and look forward to continuing our journey together, documenting the many more milestones and memories to come. Thank you, Carkovic family, for trusting me once again to be part of your story.

Coker Family Session in Vero Beach FL

I had the best time photographing the Coker family at their beautiful new home in Vero Beach, Florida. This session was particularly special because it was their first family photo shoot with me! Here are some amazing photos from our gallery:

The Coker family just moved into the neighborhood, and they wanted to document this new phase of their lives with a photo session! I was so happy to come for a visit and give them the family photo session of their dreams.

Their new home is a gorgeous homestead, full of rustic charm. And I’ve got to say, it really suits their personalities! The second I drove in, I knew that we were in for some truly special moments.

My strategy for the session was simple: first, knock out all of the nerves with a few fun portraits, and then make some magic out on the grounds with my documentary style of photography.

I’d say that we definitely knocked it out of the park! This gallery is beyond stunning, and I’m so glad that the Coker family will be able to use these as prints for their home!

Photographing a busy toddler and an energetic puppy might sound like a challenge, but it turned out to be an absolute delight. The Cokers' littlest one was full of energy and curiosity, exploring every corner of the house with wide-eyed wonder.

In turn, the girls were so happy to run after their little brother, beaming with huge smiles. It was clear that they loved being big sisters!

One of the highlights of this session was the Coker family's willingness to trust the process. They were so open to my ideas and allowed me to guide them through the process, which made things authentic enough for genuine smiles.

The result was a collection of images that beautifully portrayed their everyday life, with all its joyful chaos and tender moments.

As they continue to make new memories in their Vero Beach home, I hope these photos will serve as a beautiful reminder of this exciting chapter in their lives. Thank you, Coker family, for letting me be a part of your journey and for allowing me to capture the joy and love that fills your new home.

Spring Homeschool Picture Day at Riverside Park

Spring Homeschool Picture Day is always a highlight of the year for me. On this day, I get to celebrate the unique journeys of homeschoolers and capture their achievements and milestones.

This year, I had the privilege of photographing quite a few homeschool families in the area. Two of them were cousins Tessa and Maddox, both amazing individuals who recently graduated with associate degrees from Indian River State College (IRSC) while still in homeschool high school.

Our session took place at various places around Riverside Park. This park is a go-to favorite of mine, particularly because of the gorgeous oaks and the gazebo. The lush greenery and serene surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for Tessa and Maddox's photos.

Tessa, with her radiant smile and confident demeanor, and Maddox, with his thoughtful gaze and amazing hair, were a joy to photograph.

For many students, Picture Day provides an opportunity to commemorate their educational journey, create lasting memories, and celebrate their individuality.

Unlike traditional school photo days, homeschool picture days are tailored to each student's unique experience, capturing their personality and achievements in a way that standard school photos often can't.

I can’t thank these homeschoolers enough for trusting me with their photos! I can’t wait to do it all again in the fall! Our next Homeschool Picture Day will happen in October.

This will be a one-day event, providing another wonderful opportunity to capture your homeschooler's achievements and milestones. Whether it's a graduation, a special project, or simply a celebration of their unique educational journey, I'd love to help you preserve these precious moments.
